Which is The Best Solar Panel in india

Today, in the market, you can find mostly two types of solar panels: Polycrystalline and Monocrystalline. However, apart from these, there are various other types of solar panels available in the market that are suitable for different purposes.

For example, if your building has shade from a tree and you want to install solar panels there, then ‘Mono Half Cut’ panels are more beneficial. These panels can still generate power even if there’s shade on half of them. Similarly, if you have limited space at home but want to generate more electricity in that space, you might need to use Bifacial solar panels, which can generate power from both sides.

So, it wouldn’t be right to declare one panel as the best because the suitability of different types of panels can vary depending on factors like space, budget, and requirements. Some people may have ample space but a limited budget, while others may have limited space and no budget constraints. Or, some may simply want to reduce their electricity bills. Therefore, the choice of the best solar panel depends on individual circumstances.

Types of Solar Panels

I’ve previously created a post explaining all the details about types of solar panels. Please read the post for more information. Below, I’ll briefly mention the four main types of solar panels:

1. Polycrystalline Solar Panels
2. Monocrystalline Solar Panels
3. Half Cut Monocrystalline Solar Panels
4. Bifacial Solar Panels

Which is the Best Solar Panel?

Above, I’ve discussed the four types of panels. Here, I won’t mention any brand names because these types of panels are available from various brands. You can choose a solar panel based on your needs or preferences.

1. Polycrystalline Solar Panels

These panels are slightly less efficient compared to others. They are suitable for individuals with ample space and no budget constraints. For example, if you need a 10 kW solar system, you’ll need 32 panels with 325 watts each for Polycrystalline panels. Using Monocrystalline panels, you’d need only 28 panels with 375 watts each. So, you save four panels. Polycrystalline panels are also more affordable and are currently the most popular choice in India.

2. Monocrystalline Solar Panels

Monocrystalline panels are more efficient than Polycrystalline panels. They are suitable for those with limited space. For a 10 kW system, you’d need only 28 Monocrystalline panels with 375 watts each, saving space compared to Polycrystalline panels.

3. Half Cut Monocrystalline Solar Panels

These are also Monocrystalline panels but with twice the number of cells compared to regular ones. They are suitable for areas with partial shading, where even if half the panel is shaded, it can still produce power.

4. Bifacial Solar Panels

These panels have the highest efficiency and can generate more power in limited space. For a 10 kW system, you’d need only 22 Bifacial panels. They are the most expensive among the four types, roughly 2-3 times the cost of others.

So, each type has its advantages. Based on your circumstances, you can choose the most suitable one.

Solar Panel Price in India

The prices of solar panels range from Rs. 20 to Rs. 40 per watt, depending on the type:

1. Polycrystalline Solar Panels: Rs. 20 – 25 /watt
2. Monocrystalline Solar Panels: Rs. 25 – 35 /watt
3. Half Cut Monocrystalline Solar Panels: Rs. 25 – 35 /watt
4. Bifacial Solar Panels: Rs. 35 – 40 /watt

Market prices can vary, so it’s essential to compare prices from different sources. Additionally, it’s recommended to buy solar panels from authorized dealers of reputable brands to ensure quality. Please note that the prices and information provided are subject to change, and it’s essential to verify the latest details before making any purchasing decisions.

Best solar panel Company In india

Today, in the market, several new new brands have come, on which we cannot trust quickly. But those old big brands, you can buy solar panels from them, such as Microtek, Luminous, UTL, TATA, etc.

However, whichever brand’s solar panel you buy, first find out its price from different places because if that brand’s solar panel less stock is available in your area, then it will be quite expensive for you. Instead of this, buy a solar panel from any brand through their authorized dealer. So that you can get the solar panel at the lowest price and the right brand.
