Solar Rooftop Scheme has been launched by the Ministry of Renewable Energy, Government of India. Through this scheme, any citizen of the country can get solar panels installed on their roof for free. Under this scheme, the government is providing the facility to install solar panels on the roofs of offices, factories etc.

Eligibility for Solar Rooftop Scheme 2024
- The applicant who wants to avail the benefit of Solar Energy Assistance Scheme should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- One kilowatt of solar energy requires 10 square meters of space.
- Install solar panels on the roof of your office or factory and reduce electricity expenses by 30 to 50 percent.
- The central government will provide 40 percent subsidy on solar plants up to 3 kilowatts and 20 percent subsidy after 3 kilowatts up to 10 kilowatts.

2. You will have to sign up on the home page. After that fill all the information asked in the form correctly.
3. Then on the right side of the website you will see the option of Installation Interest form, click on it.
4. After that a form will open on the new page, fill all the details in it.
5. After that click on Submit button and OTP will come on the number added in the form. Enter the OTP correctly and then click on Submit button.

Provides subsidy to consumers under this scheme. In general states and union territories, 30% subsidy is given under this scheme. In the north-eastern states like Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Lakshya Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, up to 70% subsidy is given by the government.
