Luminous 8Kw Solar Panel Price in India

In big schools, hospitals, colleges, clinics, offices, and malls, many large tools are used. Therefore, the electricity bill there is quite high. But there are many factories whose electricity bills are high, and they also need battery backup because small machines run in the factories that require electricity to operate.

So, for them, we often use inverter batteries for more backup, and we use solar panels to reduce the electricity bill. And if all three components are combined, a complete solar system is formed. So, if you also want to install a solar system for heavy loads or to reduce the electricity bill, first check how much electricity you need daily.

Cost of Installing Luminous 8 Kilowatt Solar Panel

An 8-kilowatt solar system can produce approximately 40 minutes of electricity in a day. If you consume about 40 units of electricity daily, an 8-kilowatt solar system will be suitable for you. Luminous company offers two types of solar panels, both of which have their benefits, and both can be used to create an 8-kilowatt solar system.

Luminous 8Kw Polycrystalline Solar Panel Price

First, let’s talk about the cheapest solar panels because many people have a low budget, but everyone needs to install solar panels. So, if your budget is low, you can use Polycrystalline technology solar panels. 8-kilowatt Polycrystalline technology solar panels will cost you approximately 230,000 rupees.

However, the efficiency of Polycrystalline technology solar panels is low, so they generate less electricity on cloudy and rainy days. Polycrystalline solar panels are available in approximately 330 watts, so for 8 kilowatts, you will need about 24 solar panels.

Luminous 8Kw Mono Perc Half Cut Solar Panel Price

Now, let’s talk about the price of the latest technology solar panels, which is Mono Perc Half Cut. This solar panel has high efficiency, so it can generate good electricity even on sunny and rainy days. Therefore, they are a bit more expensive. You can get 8-kilowatt Mono Perc Half Cut solar panels for approximately ₹265,000.

Mono Perc Half Cut solar panels are available in sizes up to 500 watts, so for an 8-kilowatt solar system, you will only need to install 16 solar panels. So, you can see that for Polycrystalline technology, you need 24 solar panels, but with Mono Perc Half Cut technology, 16 solar panels will be sufficient.

Solar Inverter

You cannot directly connect solar panels to any device; you need a solar inverter for that. If you want to reduce your electricity bill, you can install an On-Grid solar system, where you don’t need to install batteries. For this, you will need to use the Luminous Nxi 308 solar inverter.

On-Grid solar systems are eligible for subsidies, so if you want a subsidized system, you need to install a solar system through a government vendor.

If you want to install an Off-Grid solar system, Luminous company offers only one solar inverter, Solarverter PRO PCU – 10KVA. This inverter has a load capacity of 8 kilowatts, but the panel capacity is 10 kilowatts. If you use this inverter, you can upgrade your solar system to 10 kilowatts in the future. This inverter is available in the market for approximately ₹140,000.

Solar Battery

You need to install 10 batteries on the inverter. If you have mostly daytime loads, such as offices and schools that operate only during the day, you may not need much battery backup. In that case, you can use a small battery, such as a 100ah battery. If you need more battery backup or if loads operate at night, you can use a 150ah or 200ah battery.

Total Cost

In addition to solar inverters, solar panels, and batteries, you also need to use accessories such as stands, wires, earthing, lighting arrestors, etc., which will cost you about ₹50,000. So, the total cost of installing your complete 8-kilowatt solar system is provided below.

Total Cost
Inverter MPPT – Rs.140,000
150Ah Solar Battery – Rs.150000
8Kw Poly Solar Panel – Rs.230,000
Extra -Rs.50,000
Total – Rs.570,000

Now you can see that the cost of installing the new 8kW solar system from Luminous will be approximately ₹570,000. If you still have any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask by commenting below.

  1. Hi,
What would be the cost of this system when Micro Inverters are used instead of MPPT inverter.

And, here batteries mentioned are lead acid battery. How much it will be if Lithium based batteries are installed.

    1. Luminos does not have a lithium battery.
      cellcronic 7.2kw / 48v Inverter : Rs.130,000
      cellcronic Lithium Battery : Rs.130,000
      Bifacial Solar Panel : Rs.3,05,000
      Extra Cost : Rs.60,000
      Total Cost : Rs.6,25,000
Shipping and installation charges will be taken separately.
