India’s Cheapest 4kw Solar System Pack

Mostly, in homes, solar systems of 3 kilowatts or 5 kilowatts are used. But if you use only 20 units of electricity per day, you can use a 4-kilowatt solar system. The cost of installing a 4-kilowatt solar system becomes quite high because, for a 4-kilowatt solar system, you need to buy a 5 kVA load capacity inverter, on which you have to install four batteries.

So, that’s why, to install the cheapest 4-kilowatt solar system, you should first know which solar panels, inverters, and batteries you should choose so that you can install a 4-kilowatt solar system at a lower cost. So, let’s first talk about solar panels, which solar panels are available in the market, and what is their price.

Cheapest Polycrystalline Solar Panels

1 kW Solar Panel Price Without Battery: These are the oldest technology solar panels with lower efficiency. Therefore, you can find them in the market at quite a low price. Polycrystalline panels are available to you at around Rs. 25 to 30 per watt. Even if you choose a good brand, you can get 4 kilowatts of solar panels for about Rs. 112,000.

For a 4-kilowatt system, you will need to install 12 polycrystalline solar panels. But if you have limited space and you want to create a 4-kilowatt solar system with just eight solar panels, then you have to use Mono Perc technology solar panels.

In Mono Perc technology, you can find solar panels up to 500 watts, allowing you to create a larger solar system in less space. However, 4-kilowatt Mono Perc panels will cost you around Rs. 130,000.

5 kVA Solar Inverter

To create a 4-kilowatt solar system, you need to buy a 5 kVA inverter on which you have to install four batteries. But many people only need to run loads during the day, such as in shops, offices, or schools, where electricity consumption is high only during the day.

So, for them, there is no need for much battery backup. However, due to compulsion, they have to install batteries. Below are two inverters that you can use to create a 4-kilowatt solar system.

Eapro 5kVA

You can run loads up to 4 kilowatts on this inverter and can install solar panels up to 5 kilowatts. You have to install four batteries on this inverter. This inverter uses PWM technology and is available at a relatively low cost. You can find this inverter in the market for approximately Rs. 45,000, but it might be a bit more expensive online.

Features

  • Solar Hybrid UPS with Real Time Clock for optimal solar inverter performance and power savings.
  • PWM-based pure sine wave technology with inbuilt RTC.
  • Smart Solar Selection maximizes solar power.
  • Settings for essential parameters like Time, Boost Battery Voltage, Solar Max charging current, Battery Low Cut voltage, etc.
  • Users can set four saving levels, including full-time solar charging, no mains charging, etc.
  • Monthly battery gravity maintenance.
  • Intelligent multicolour LCD for system parameters
  • Supports UPS (180V–260V) and Normal (100V–280V) modes.
  • ASSC Smart Battery Charging extends battery life.
  • Sine wave output protects delicate appliances and eliminates distortion.
  • Intelligent overload detecting with auto-retry.
  • PCU Remote Monitoring and Control via Wifi/LAN/GPRS/Android App (Optional)

Cheap Battery

In the market, you get to see batteries of various technologies, the prices of which also vary. But talking about the cheapest battery, lead-acid batteries are the most affordable in the market. A 100Ah battery will cost you approximately ₹10,000, a 150Ah battery will cost you around ₹14,000, and a 200Ah battery will be available for about ₹17,000. So, if you use a 100Ah battery, the battery cost will be approximately ₹40,000.

Other expenses

In addition to solar batteries, solar panels, and inverters, many components are used in installing a solar system, such as stands, wires, lightning arresters, etc. The cost of all these components will be separate, ranging from approximately ₹20,000 to ₹25,000.

Total cost

So, the separate costs of all the components have been mentioned above. You can estimate that the cost of installing the cheapest 4-kilowatt solar system can be around ₹2,22,000.

Total Cost
Inverter PWM – Rs.45,000
4 X 100Ah Solar Battery – Rs.40000
4Kw Poly Solar Panel – Rs.112,000
Extra -Rs.25,000
Total – Rs.222,000

The mentioned price is only for the equipment. If you get it installed from a company, you will also have to pay for shipping and installation charges separately. These charges depend on the company; different companies have different charges for shipping and installation.
