How Much Will It Cost To Install 7Kw Solar Panels

How Much Will It Cost To Install 7Kw Solar Panels 7kw solar panel me kya kya chalega, 7kw solar panel price with subsidy, 7kw solar system off grid

We mostly use 7kw solar panels in big offices, schools, journal stores, and similar places. This is because in these places, we need to run more fans, lights, and sometimes even large appliances like refrigerators or air conditioners. But if you want to run an air conditioner or room heater at your home, you’ll also need a solar system of around 6 to 7 kilowatts.

7 kW solar panels can generate approximately 30 units of electricity in a day. So, if you consume about 25 to 30 minutes of electricity in a day, a 7-kilowatt solar system would be just right for you. However, you can set up a 7-kilowatt solar system using different inverters.

How Much Will It Cost To Install 7Kw Solar Panels

In the market, you’ll find three types of solar panels that can be used in homes, offices, shops, petrol pumps, etc. The prices of these three types of solar panels vary because their technology and capacity are different.

First, there are Polycrystalline solar panels, which are better than others, so their prices are a bit higher. Lastly, there are Bifacial solar panels, which are the latest technology and the most expensive solar panels.

Types of Solar Panels
  • 7kw Poly Crystalline Solar Panel Price – Rs.2,10,000
  • 7kw Mono PERC half cut Solar Panel Price – Rs.245,000
  • 7kw Bifacial Solar Panel Price – Rs.2,80,000

All three technologies of solar panels have their place. If the budget is low and you want to install 7 kilowatt solar panels with less money, you can go for polycrystalline technology solar panels. If you want to invest in a good technology solar panel, you can install Mono Perc Half Cut technology solar panels. If your budget is good and you want to buy the most advanced and latest technology solar panels, then you can purchase bifacial solar panels.

Solar Charge Controller For 7kw Solar Panel

If you want to install 7 kilowatt solar panels on your old inverter battery, you will need a solar charge controller. With its help, you can connect 7 kilowatt solar panels to your inverter. However, for this, you should have an inverter with at least 10 batteries.

Other Expense

Besides solar panels and a solar charge controller, there are additional expenses involved in setting up a solar system, such as a stand for the solar panels, wires to connect the solar panels to the solar charge controller, and safety devices like ACDB (Alternating Current Distribution Board) and DCDB (Direct Current Distribution Board). So, the approximate cost of these additional components will be around ₹40,000.

Cost of Installing 7 Kilowatt Solar Panels

The cost will vary based on the type of solar panels you choose, so here is how the cost breakdown for the solar charge controller, stand, and wires will be, along with the cost of the solar panels:

  • If you opt for polycrystalline solar panels and set up a 7-kilowatt system, the cost will be approximately Rs. 2,65,000 lakh.
  • If you choose Mono Perc technology for the 7-kilowatt solar panel system, the cost will be approximately Rs. 3,00,000.
  • If you decide to install bifacial solar panels for a 7-kilowatt system, the cost will be approximately Rs. 3,35,000.

Cost of Installing a 7 kW Solar System

Now, let’s discuss the total cost if you want to install a new 7-kilowatt solar system, which includes a new solar inverter, batteries, and solar panels. If you want to generate 30 units of electricity in just one day, you can consider a 7.5kVA solar inverter.

However, if you also want to run a 7 kW load, you will need a transformerless 6kVA solar inverter. This is because the latest technology inverters can handle both a 7 kW load and accommodate 7-kilowatt solar panels.

Luminous Solarverter PRO PCU – 7.5KVA

This is a solar inverter of MPPT type, capable of handling loads up to 7500VA. This inverter has a Voc (Voltage Open Circuit) range of 480V Vdc, allowing you to use 36/60/72 cell solar panels with it.

It comes with a solar charge controller rated at 50A. You can connect solar panels with a total capacity of up to 7500 watts to this inverter. So, those who have a load of approximately 7kW can make use of this inverter. By installing 7500W worth of panels on this inverter, you can create an excellent 7kW solar system.

To operate this inverter at 96V, you will need to connect 8 batteries to it. Those who require less battery backup can use 100 Ah batteries, which are available at a lower cost. Those in need of longer backup can opt for 150 Ah or 200 Ah batteries.

The output of this inverter is Pure Sine Wave, ensuring that all your devices work smoothly. This inverter comes with a 2-year warranty. You can use this inverter as a regular inverter and later convert it into a solar inverter by adding solar panels to it.

Price – Rs.85,000

By connecting 8 batteries to this inverter, you can create your 7-kilowatt solar system. You can get 150Ah batteries for approximately Rs. 1,20,000. As mentioned above, the cost of solar panels is also provided, so the total cost of installing a 7-kilowatt solar system will be approximately Rs.4,55,000

Total Cost
  • Inverter MPPT- Rs.85,000
  • 8 X 150Ah Solar Battery – Rs.1,20,000
